Junior School Facilities

Redfields House, home to our Junior School, is the beautifully decorative main building, with high ceilings and a wooden staircase that takes centre stage; creating an environment full of character for learning. 

We are proud of our fantastic and inspiring range of indoor and outdoor facilities which include: 

• Classrooms - Well-resourced, bright, stimulating and containing interactive whiteboards.
• Junior Library - Weekly visits to the Librarian; children choose a book to take home.
• Junior Science Lab - State of the art laboratory for practical experimentation and demonstrations.
• ICT Suite - Fully equipped with PCs and the latest software; pupils have weekly computing lessons.
• Dining Hall - Where a choice of freshly cooked nutritious food is served to all our Junior pupils.
• Pritchard Hall - Our purpose-built auditorium where assemblies, concerts and productions take place.
• Drama Studio - The backstage area for productions and weekly Performing Arts lessons.
• Music Classroom - Equipped with an array of instruments and a suite of Apple Mac computers.
• Music Lodge - A dedicated building for peripatetic lessons with multiple practice rooms.
• Art and Textiles Centre - A stimulating and creative environment for Art, DT, and in Year 6, Textiles lessons.
• Junior Playground - Where Junior pupils play together, with access to a variety of equipment.
• Climbing Equipment - Enhancing co-ordination, physical strength and negotiation.
• Trim Trail - Building cognitive ability, core strength, balance and coordination.
• Outdoor Classroom - Improving  engagement and wellbeing whilst aiding environmental awareness.
• Woods - Weekly Forest School sessions enhance exploration, investigation and understanding of seasonal changes.

With our extensive grounds and woodland, Junior pupils experience a multitude of sports through curriculum lessons and after school clubs, using our excellent range of sports facilities:

• Sports Hall - with viewing gallery, facilitating indoor sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton and trampolining.
• Sports Field - built-in long jump, marked out for seasonal sports such as football, rugby, cricket, rounders and athletics.
• Astro Turf Pitch - floodlit with an all-weather surface ensures Football, Netball and Hockey are played in all weathers.
• Netball and Tennis Courts - used for PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs and fixtures.
• Running Track - nestled in our woodland providing scenic cross-country training and charity fun runs.
