Artist-in-Residence
TUTORING AND WORKSHOPS
We are delighted to have Lee-Anne Hampson, Art Teacher and Artist-in-Residence, at St Nicholas' School.
Lee-Anne teaches our senior school pupils whilst creating and exhibiting her own artwork, taking commissions, offering 1-2-1 tutoring sessions and running pupil and adult workshops.
Lee-Anne first studied art at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, Rochester in 1999, where she was encouraged to study Textile Art and in 2002, graduated with a first class degree in Textile Art from Winchester School of Art.
In 2003 Lee-Anne went on to study at UWE, Bristol for a PGCE in Art and Design and during her first year of teaching in a girls’ grammar school in her home town, won the prestigious Commonwealth Foundation Arts and Crafts Award 2005. Lee-Anne used the award to go to Papua New Guinea where she travelled extensively and produced an exhibition at the end of her three month stay.
On her return to England, Lee-Anne worked for two years as Artist-in-Residence at Radley College Oxford and since then has worked at private schools including Milton Abbey, Sherfield School and most recently Lord Wandsworth College.
