Entrance Examinations
ENTRY INTO YEAR 7
Prospective pupils seeking entry into Year 7 are required to sit a computer-based CEM assessment, which includes verbal, non-verbal, and numerical ability sections. Additionally, they will complete a creative writing piece in English and have an informal discussion with a member of the Senior Management Team.
We do not advise any special preparation for these assessments, as they are designed to provide insight into your daughter’s true potential while highlighting her overall profile. We also request her latest school report and will contact her current school for a reference.

To register your daughter for our Year 7 Entrance Exams, please complete the downloadable registration form and return it along with a non-refundable registration fee of £120 (inclusive of VAT).

Following the Entrance Examination, girls will be offered a place, subject to availability and achieving the required academic standard. To reserve this place, a deposit of £500.00 is required. Please note that 40% of the deposit will be refunded against the pupil’s first term fees, while the remaining balance will be refunded without interest, subject to any fees or other sums due to the school when your child leaves.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Academic, Art and Textiles, Drama, Music, and Sport scholarships are available for Year 7 entry into the Senior School.
The scholarship examinations for Year 7 September 2025 will take place shortly after the Entrance Examination in January 2025, at St Nicholas’ School.
Current and prospective pupils wishing to apply for a scholarship must notify the Admissions and Marketing Manager before sitting the Entrance Examination.
